Saturday Song: Love Triangle by RaeLynn

Happy Saturday!

It’s so weird out here lately, because it’s about 5C currently, while out where my parents live, they’re recovering from a massive snowstorm. Though I honestly think I’m in the right place for this one.

Anyway.

This song actually came up at a discussion with colleagues, because we were looking for songs to discuss parents in sessions with teenagers. Someone suggested this song for kids whose parents have divorced. I’d heard of Raelynn before, but not this particular song, and holy macaroni folks, it’s so good. There’s so much potential for a song about the kid of divorced parents to be cheesy and silly, but this song is heartbreaking.

Take a listen and let me know what you think!

  1. What a touching song, and her performance is heartbreaking!!! Definitely an important topic, and a great way to start a dialogue with (and support kids in) similar situations.

It will also never cease to amaze me how clever country music lyricists can be. 😉

    Thanks for sharing!
