WWW Wednesday [09/08/17]

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted on Taking On A World Of Words (previously hosted on A Daily Rhythm) that asks you three very important questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you finish reading recently?
What do you think you’ll read next?

My brain is so fried as I write this that I probably shouldn’t be allowed to post things on the internet. Likely due to insomnia and long work days and trying to churn out reviews and RPG posts. But we’re gonna do this anyway.

What Are You Currently Reading?

Imagine a world where you might disappear any minute, only to find yourself alone in a grey sickly land, with more horrors in it than you would ever wish to know about. And then you hear a horn and you know that whoever lives in this hell has got your scent and the hunt has already begun.

Could you survive the Call?

I’m only about 50 pages into this one, but this is one hella messed up book. Seriously though.

What Did You Finish Reading Recently?

A Passport to a Nation of Talking Slugs is a collection of weird, speculative fiction containing four stories of people exploring strange places and situations, from a newly-discovered civilization of six-foot-tall talking slugs to being haunted by a man in a dark chocolate suit. Whether waking up in a prison camp or navigating a city full of copies of themselves, the characters in these stories are bent on understanding their world, even if that understanding also means the end of the world they thought they knew.

And speaking of hella messed up books. These stories are pretty insane, and left me as confused as when I started. Definitely one to read if you like weird stuff.

What Do You Think You’ll Read Next?

I dunno, guys.

Maybe one of these? It took me long enough yesterday to decide to read The Call, I’m not mentally ready to choose yet another book.

Any suggestions on what I should read next (doesn’t need to be one of these)? Let me know in the comments below!
