Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted on The Broke and the Bookish.
I’ve met a fair few local authors through bookstores and things like that, but very few with books that I’ve actually read. So making a list about authors I’ve met would be hard, and I don’t know who I’d really like to meet because there’s something cool about the mysterious person behind the stories I read. So I’m going another way, and making a list of authors I’d love to write my biography if I were ever to become rich and famous or something like that.
Sarah Dessen
The way that Dessen can weave the past and the present into a story is beautiful and I truly believe that she would do a beautiful job of writing someone’s life story, just like she does with her characters’ stories.
Francesca Lia Block
Block’s writing style is so beautiful and lyrical, and her books are always a pleasure to read. You’d get the most beautifully written biography if she were to do it.
Lindsey Stirling
If Stirling wrote your biography, it would probably not only be the most energetically written thing in the world, but you’d also probably get a song to go with it, which would be awesome.
Neil Gaiman
Neil Gaiman could probably take my rather uninteresting life and make it amazing, let alone if something really exciting happened in my life.
J.K. Rowling
Specifically in the style Harry Potter over her other books. But it would be cool to have her write your biography.
Gail Carson Levine
Because it would make 7 year old me so happy.
Who would you want to write your biography? Let me know in the comments below!
I don’t think I would let anyone write my biography, I would have to do it myself. 😛

That’s fair. You’d definitely tell it the best!

Is it just me, or were there only seven authors listed? 😛 I’d love Louise O’Neill to write mine, just because it’d be so cool to chill with her and tell her my life story like Bojack Horseman does with Dianne.

There were only 7 😝 I got lazy while writing and didn’t bother with any more…
I’m not familiar with Louise O’Neill. I guess I should go check her out, so I can see why you’d want her to do it!

I love that you included Neil Gaiman. I feel like he’d add a slightly cryptic touch to even an average biography.

It may not end up being exactly like your life if he wrote it, but it would be a great story.

Shannon Hale, Margaret Atwood (I’d love my life to turn dystopian), Mark Twain (dead, I know, but his biographies are amazing), or Laura Hillenbrand.
Great interpretation of this week’s TTT–it’s a fun subject to think about!
