Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted on The Broke and the Bookish.
This week’s theme is… Top Ten Books on Your Spring TBR.
I’ve actually had this post sitting open for the last ten minutes while I stare sadly at my bookcase and all the books that are sitting there unread. And then thinking of the books I just ordered from Book Depository. And then of the books on my Kobo that just don’t have a physical form. Please excuse me while I drown in my TBR. It has been nice knowing you!
But anyway. Here are ten books I am hoping to read before summer shows up! I probably won’t read them all, because I am lousy at actually sticking to TBRs, but this is the plan right now.
This one I actually am going to read, because I have a review copy and owe a review, which is about the only way I actually stick to my TBR. But I am super excited to read this one in the very near future.
As with the last book, I have a review copy of this, so I will definitely be reading it this spring. Actually, I’ll probably be reading it next, but that’s almost spring, so good enough.
Another review copy! Apparently, promising reviews is how you actually get me to stick to a TBR…
I finally caved and ordered a paperback copy of this book from Book Depository, because I can’t wait until it’s out in paperback in Canada to actually read it. I love this series so much, and I need to know what happens next.
I also caved and got this one in paperback from Book Depository. Part of it is the hype that surrounds this one, and part of it is because it has been compared to The Night Circus and I loved that book. Plus, the cover is pretty!
For a series I could probably read in a single weekend, it is taking me a long time to read all of these books.
Have had this book for a while. Still haven’t read it, even though it looks really good.
THIS BOOK LOOKS SO GOOD AND I NEVER PICK IT UP. It’s very likely because I have a hardcover, if I’m being totally honest, because this is the case with a number of books I own. I tend not to choose a hardcover if I can read something in paperback. But I really want to read it!
I’ve heard some things about this that have turned me off it, despite having had a copy for months now. But I should probably read it and actually know what the story is about before making opinions. I’ve lent it to a friend, but will read it when I get it back.
I got a signed copy of this book for my birthday, but keep overlooking it for other books. But it’s been catching my eye a lot lately, so I suppose I should actually pick it up.
I also want to read Caraval soon! I’ve heard mixed reviews, but I’m still intrigued.

Same here, actually. And they get more mixed as I go, but it’s still something I feel like I need to try for myself.

Ahh I highly recommend The Serpent King and Wolf by Wolf! Both are really good and devastating in their own way.
I hope you like Caraval – that book didn’t really live up to the hype for me but it IS beautifully written, so if you enjoy that kind of lush, descriptive writing you’d probably enjoy that book as well. ❤

I’ve been hearing so many good things about those two, especially with this TTT, so I guess I’ll need to get to them soon.
Uh oh. I’m usually not big on descriptive writing. I appreciate the heads up on that front… Now if the book would just come in the mail…

Uh oh! Well, some people really love the characters and the setup too so don’t lose hope. 😂

I’ve got to get to reading Caraval too. I think I’ve put it off a bit because I don’t want to be disappointed. I, too, have a lot of review copies to read. 🙂

I totally know what you mean. Caraval’s been hyped up so much that I’m scared it’s not going to be as good as I hoped.

I loved the first six chapters when I read the sampler, so that’s got to bode well, right?

Wolf by Wolf and The Serpent King are favorites of mine, as well as ACOTAR. Caraval is also on my TBR. Enjoy!!!

Good to hear those ones are good – I’ve heard some mixed things about all of them, and feel left out of the party. Fingers crossed that Caraval ends up good for you!

I need to read The Serpent King soon, too. I also want to read Caraval.

Yay! I’m not the only one who hasn’t read those 😛

I hadn’t heard that Caraval was compared to The Night Circus. I’ve seen mixed reviews about it, but I think I’m going to keep it on my TBR. Happy reading!

It may be just because of the common circus theme, but I’ve seen the comparison in a few reviews. We just need to read it and find out if that’s accurate or not 😛

I love A Court of Thorns and Roses (and love the sequel even more!). Also, hoping to read Caraval soon! Happy reading!

Everyone seems to love it, and I really need to read it and find out why! Good to hear I’m not the only one who hasn’t read Caraval yet!

I’m hopeful to find time to dig into Caraval soon too! I’ve mostly seen praise for it so that’s really exciting. I hope you get to read The Serpent King (or even Zentner’s recently released Goodbye Days). They’re both such quiet stories with so much poignancy and punch to it (at least for me haha).
Cheers,

Part of me is stoked to read Caraval, and part of me doesn’t even want to get involved with the hype 😛 I need to get to his books, especially since his new one looks fantastic as well. Good to hear that they’re such good books!

Where is everyone getting copies of Ignite? I went to Amazon and it says it’s not available! I’m intrigued and it sounds like something I would like!
Great picks for spring!

I got a review copy from the folks at Inkett for Ignite. I’m not sure if that’s where everyone else got theirs, though. It does look really good!
