Saturday Song: Crystallize by Lindsey Stirling

Happy Saturday!

The weekend rolls around so quickly, doesn’t it? But that means that it is time for another Saturday Song!

Crystallize by Lindsey Stirling

Lindsey Stirling stands out in the crowd of popular musicians today. Firstly, instead of having a lead singer or something along those lines, the melodies are always done by violin. Second, it’s mixed with rock guitar, piano and drums, and mixed with dubstep qualities. And it sounds amazing. Seriously, if you haven’t listened to her stuff before, you need to check this out. She’s done original material, as well as covered lots of popular stuff from pop music to broadway or video game tracks.

I was lucky enough to see her in concert this week, and the show was phenomenal. It was a mix of music, dancing, visual effects and videos. I swear she didn’t stop moving for the full hour and a half show. For this particular song, she played a short video before it started, talking about the effect that positive energy can have on water crystals.

Take a listen, and let me know what you think!
