Saturday Song(s): Favourite Harry Potter Parodies

Happy Saturday!

In honour of the new Harry Potter story that falls into our hands at midnight tonight (or, if you’re like me, and ordered it online for delivery without checking what day the 31st is and have to wait until Tuesday), I’ve opted to share my favourite parodies about Harry Potter! All of these are popular songs that have been re-written to include Harry Potter themed lyrics.

Walk of Shame – Not Literally Productions

This is possibly my all time favourite, if only because it makes me giggle every time. It’s a parody of Simon and Garfunkel’s Sound of Silence, talking about doing a walk of shame after partying all night at Hogwarts.

Sorted This Way – Not Literally Productions

Hufflepuff pride! This parody of Lady Gaga’s Born This Way encourages all the Hufflepuff’s out there to take pride in their house.

Dark Lord Funk

This is a parody of Uptown Funk, and gets bonus points for fitting in the Harry Potter theme without it sounding tacky. Plus, gotta love when Voldemort lets loose and gets down to the beat.

Potter Rock Anthem

This a parody of Party Rock Anthem, and is exactly what you’d expect out of a Hogwarts party.

Ravenclaws

Remember that awful Friday song that was huge a number of years ago? This is a way better version.

The Last Ten Years

This is a parody of Last Friday Night about what Harry Potter’s been up to. The fun that the folks in this video is rather contagious.

These next two aren’t Harry Potter parodies per se, but they fit it well, and I love them too much not to share.

Talk Nerdy to Me

This is a parody of Jason Derulo’s Talk Dirty to Me. Let’s be honest, as book lovers, talking nerdy will probably get you so much further with us than talkin’ dirty.

I Ship It – Not Literally Productions

We’ve all done it. There’s no point in denying it.

Got a favourite that I did list here, or a favourite out of these ones? Let me know in the comments. Especially if you’ve got one I missed, because I have way too much fun with these songs.
