Can you believe we’re a week into July already?
So, living in Alberta, July means Stampede and rodeos and all things country, no matter how far you might live from the major events. The radio is going overboard with their country music, you can’t turn around without spotting cowboy hats and boots, and you can hear kids screaming ‘yeehaw!’ every three seconds. While I’m sure this will get very, very old before the summer season ends, it’s kind of fun now, so I’m going to join in and share a country song with you!
This falls into the more modern country genre. It’s less twangy, if that’s not your style, and more along the country-pop/rock sound. The whole thing is pretty straightforward from a musical sense, which is probably why it’s so darn catchy. It’s a really wonderful song to play in your car while flying down the highway, your hair blowing in the wind, and the sun setting on the horizon.
Take a listen and let me know what you think!
