Top 10 Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.
Summer is just around the corner, which means that it’s time to get a list of books together for when those beach days come around! Here are some of my favourite books to read when the weather turns warm.
This is such a fun, summer-y read. It’s got a lot of lighthearted moments, drama, and fun relationships. It’s relatively easy to read as well, so you won’t lose your place if a good looking guy or gal happens to walk by.
Any of the books from this set make for great beach reads, with the lighthearted romance, great settings, and fun characters. But Isla would probably be my favourite, because it will also satisfy your wanderlust during the summer months.
From the moment I read this book, this book struck me as the perfect summer book. It’s lighthearted and fun, and includes a bit of everything you could want in a beach read.
This series is my ultimate guilty pleasure, and summer is the perfect time for such an addictive romance. Beach reads are so much better when there are 9 super hot guys, and a good bit of adventure and mystery to go along with them.
This is the second Sarah Dessen book to appear on this list, because Sarah Dessen writes some really fantastic summer-y books. This one is great if you’re looking for something a little more serious, and something that will tug your heartstrings a little more.
Summer is the perfect time to get hooked into a fantastic series! The Lunar Chronicles is great because it’s got a little bit of everything, and enough books to keep you going for a good part of the summer.
The Selection series is another great beach series. It’s got lots of romance, a bit of adventure, and more than enough drama. Plus, like Along For The Ride, it’s easy to read and follow, so you can scope out good lookin’ folks without losing your place.
If you’re looking for a flashback to your younger years, the Princess Diaries series is great (younger years for those who are in their 20-somethings like me). They’re fun, little books, and nice, easy reads.
I don’t think that any beach reads list is complete without including the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. It’s probably the ultimate beach read in my book, with everything you could ever want while laying out in the sun.
This is such a lovely read, as it outlines how the relationship between Henry and Claire develops over the years and decades. It’s a lovely romance, with some fun time travelling in there as well.
